Jersey City Ferries

Hoboken and Jersey City had three different ferry lines. The northern most was the Cristopher Street ferry which crossed to the lower west side of New York. From the same terminal the Barclay street Ferry crossed farther south in New York. From farther south in Jersey City the Pavonia Ferry crossed. Still father south in Jersey City there was a Jersey City Ferry, a ferry for freight and the Annex Line which crossed over to Brooklyn. From the southern most point of Jersey City the Communipaw Ferry crossed straight across to New York.
