Wappinger's Creek

Wappinger's Creek, an important mill stream, empties into the Hudson at the steamboat landing of New Hamburgh, six miles north of Newburgh, on the east side of the river. This landing is connected by a steamboat ferry with that of Hampton, nearly opposite.
